I asked for a "small Sprite" and got a 2-liter serving, or so it seemed.

I'm sure this has happened to you, too. What in the world is happening to what we call a serving size? It’s no wonder Americans are eating more calories than in the past! (If you've seen the reports about how Americans are eating less fat, keep in mind that’s relative to the fact that we're eating more calories overall.)

Having a vision of what constitutes a healthy serving size can help us recognize when we're being fooled into thinking we need to eat more than we really do. Before you eat your meal, look down and determine what size serving(s) you are about to fuel your body with.
